Sorry folks, that's the weekend we're up in the North East babysitting our grandson.

Steve, I seem to remember repairing one of these some years ago. The thermal fuse had opened and needed replacement. Replacements are cheap, but you have to be extra careful when soldering!

That is really interesting to know, i have a couple of bad ones, i did open one ages ago but could not see anything wrong with it, if i remember i will bring one to the meet, and maybe we can open it and have a gander.
