12th -13th May 2012 Four Ashes Inn
What a cracking weekend yet again, the sun was shining , no rain was forecast, so off we went, when we arrived on the Saturday morning a few campers were already there and chomping at the bit, especially Dave (Stocktake) and his lovely missus doing there version of extreme camping, around 9 o-clock people started arriving and after a quick chat people were off and bumpers were falling off all over the place, Rob (Woolleysox) was almost weeing himself waiting for his new premium bumper to arrive to be fitted, we had the pleasure of the MGR OWNERS CLUB coming by in the ZS and ZR, the Monk and Duncan were running round T4ing cars all over the place, Steve (Arctic) was whipping out handbrakes left right and centre, then it happened Mick turned up and myself and Dave (Stocktake) offered to help him erect his tent, well oh my god, you will see it in the photos,
Back to the jobs, fan changes, vis motors, polishing, DRL's fitted it was turning into a very busy day for all, luckily tea time soon came round and off we went to the pub, the work was over :) we had a very pleasant meal with some good chit chat and as the beer flowed it was time for the fire, this was soon burning well and there we were singing dodgy songs from Robs and Marks stereos and lighting lanterns and sending them off into the night sky, I left at midnight as the campers were all a little worst for wear.
Returning at 08:30 Sunday the campers were milling around going nowhere, and Marina (Mrs Stocktake) was just finishing up cooking everyone's breakfast, very soon people started turning up to what was looking like another glorious day, the jobs were flying out with everyone running round helping each other out and trying to get cars finished so people could actually drive them home lol
All in all a superb weekend and many thanks to all that took the time to travel some fair distances to attend, its was great to meet the normal faces and lots and lots of new ones, it was a pleasure
