October 2011
16th October 2011, Teddy bears Nursery
Sunday morning came, the weather was fine and clear, looked like we were in for a good day, 7 of us met up at Greasy Lil's truck stop on the A5 for a bit of breakfast, then it was off to Teddy Bears for a 10 o'clock start, with the tea urn fired up the jobs were soon on the way with front bumpers coming off everywhere, cars lining up for Duncan to carry out his T4 expertise, and members just chatting and catching up with old friends, as always the atmosphere was terrific, Dinner time soon came round and Rob's missus again done us proud with Pork and stuffing sandwiches which was very welcomed, then it was back on with the work (Hopefully a list of jobs will soon be posted) Lee from Concours car care came to his first Nano and spent some time giving advice on car care issues, The afternoon went well and the weather stayed fine for us, the highlight of the day was Rob's terrific idea of how to break a bumper up (Luckily Mick was lurking with his camera) all but Rob could see where this was going so we all took a big step backwards and waited, soon enough Rob was on his arse in the gravel, all in all it was a fantastic day yet again, with 32 cars in attendance and our thanks go out to all the people that gave up their Sunday to make these meets what they are designed to be, like minded owners helping out each other to maintain these beautiful machines and keep them on the road
Here's to the next one…….
