Rob was telling me last week that camping is allowed for a small charge on the field behind the snack bar, adjacent to the canal, not where the cars are parked.

I have confirmed camping prices, £10 a night for a tent or sleep in car, £15 for a caravan should Chris & Pam be tempted, there is a pub nearby if anyone is interested a short 2/3 minute ride away called the Dog & Partridge and has good reviews
