Please post jobs required and offers of help here as it will be useful to know what demand there is for jobs to be done so we can see what numbers are involved, and help can be managed, please post if you are able to offer help in any way

As recommended in the last meet-up I’d like to replace my ac and water pump belts on my car’s diesel engine and put in the window washer filter/grommet by the window washer bottle.

Good evening,
I've been trying to get myself down for months but life keeps getting in the way. I am however determined to attend the meet on the 31st.
I'd like to replace my current dash facias with a black oak equivalent I acquired previously. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm pretty new to working on my own cars but very willing to give it a proper try.
Thanks in advance,
Tom,
Notts.

HI Tom.
I'm sure you will get help with the changing of the facia because quite a few have done that at a meet, and help with any other questions you may have,

I'm a bit concerned about the possibility of rain, and the T4. Nobody has posted any specific T4 work to solve any issues. I don't mind at all doing basic health checks, but I'm inclining towards not bringing it this weekend especially as Mike hans't said he is coming with the gazebo. Even if he is, it's been quite breezy over the last few days. If there's a particular need, please post it here so I can arrange something.

Hi Duncan.
No one from the OC side as a particular reason for the T4, so I'm sure it would be ok to maybe have a rest and maybe get involved with other fault finding problems that don't need T4 i think nearly every car that comes to the meets now as already had it's early or quarterly health check, so they all should be in a good place regarding that, there are a few more meets before the end of year which they can ask for ant T4 work to be done, so i say enjoy the other side of the meet

Boot strut mount caved itself in on the left hand side today. The right looks... Rough also. Any suggestions from the experts for a temp fix? Otherwise I assume it's tourer hatch only until I can find an Arc welder who won't charge me the earth.. which could be a while...
Also, what time do folk usually begin arriving at Wolverhampton?

Given your username ZT-T I guess this is on a tourer. Don't think we will be able to fix it, but Arctic (Steve) is familiar with the problem, and you should talk to him.

If it's the tourer then i have some plates that might be able to fix it, we will know on the day, if it has been torn completely out, try and keep the part torn, but as already said eyes on the problem will help us more.

Prior to me buying my car, it was used for an article in Car Mechanics magazine, showing the tailgate strut mounting repair.
I've attached a pdf copy of the article and a photo.
Edit: It looks like the pdf is too large to attach, so if anyone wants a copy, PM me.
